4 Weeks After Starting a T-shirt Business, Jean Lands a 200 T-shirt Deal

By  Cartess Ross

The success stories are starting to pour in… Jean Dumond started a new clothing line after being unemployed for nearly a year. Jean is a member of TshirtRiches and sent me the following…

“I was surprised to see how people reacted to my idea…”

Thank you so much for putting me in the path to success. I have been out of job for almost a year and I was looking online to find an alternative. I am so thankful that I found one of your videos on you tube.

I immediately joined your team and I ordered my materials right there. I was surprised to see how people reacted to my idea. The first week that I launched my t-shirt business, the feedback was so positive that I couldn’t stop thinking about making it bigger.

I built my own website where I am selling my designs (www.jeandumond.com) and I am on my 4th week right now and I already found a 200 t-shirt order from one of my local churches.

My friends are buying my designs online like crazy and I am ready to move for better deal. By the way, I used a inkjet printer at home to print all 200 t-shirts, but the ones that I am selling on my website, I use heat transfer companies.

Thank you so much and I think I find my passion. I didn’t know I could do this since this is so different from what I used to do.

Thank you , thank you, thank you. I have put some pictures of my big order on my facebook page, take a look (http://www.facebook.com/JeanDumondClothing) .

God bless you!
Jean Dumond

I will guide you through this process and provide you with proven strategies to help you build a t-shirt company. As one of the original pioneers to start selling t-shirts online 20 years ago, I've sold millions of dollars in t shirts to people all over the world. I founded TshirtRiches in 2007 to teach others how to turn their t-shirt ideas into a business. So if you're ready, hop onboard and let's make this money!

        Hello Mr. Ross,

I was pondering on making my own t shirt line and I came across your videos on you tube
And found them real useful, so from the my understanding is get the press then heat transfers and pretty much you are all set. I work full time and go to school, but would like this business as a support for my family and I thanks again and any other advice would be terrific.

        Semper Fi,
        Santiago

        • Hi Santiago,

If you’re seriously about starting your own tshirt business. I would suggest signing up for our email list and our FREE “mini’ course. Please be sure to take advantage of the information that’s already listed on our website. Everything you’ll need to know about starting your business is listed on our website and in the training course we’ve created.

  • Love it! My wife and I just bought our machine a couple months ago. I mention my t-shirt business to everyone I meet, and it practically sells itself! Almost everyone responds, “Hey! I need t-shirts!” I mention it to business owners, church members, band members, people who work for schools, everyone. They all want shirts!

    • Hi Jeff,

That’s great, Jeff! The best thing to do is let people know what you do! You will find out as you’ve already did, once people know what you do they will all want shirts! Keep up the great work!

  • I’ve been following you since 2010 while deployed in Iraq. I’ve always drawn and kept saying I would do something with it later. During my last deployment before getting out the Army after almost 11years, I stepped out of my uniform and started my own clothing line 1 month after getting out. Your videos are so helpeful and always spark up new ideas. It helps being innovative and viewing someone real to create more. Your experience and knowledge about everything has saved me a ton of money and helped me continue to do what I love to do and share it with others. I have a trademark and several copyrights. Thank you for sharing your videos. I don’t think I’de be in 2013 doing as well as I’m doing without your help. Thank you.

    • Thanks for the kind words Sonny… I sent you an e-mail earlier. If you don’t see it, check your spam/bulk mail folders… My dad was in the Army for twenty years and I served one term in the Air Force. I and many others appreciate your service!

  • Thank you so much for all the wonderful insight and information. You are truly kindhearted and transparent. I’m ready to get started with this T-shirt business and look forward to working with your company real soon. You are a blessing to many. Keep up the God work.

    • Hi Tasha,

We thank you for the kind words. We look forward to hearing about all your success. Please keep us posted.

how mush does it coast to get my art work on to transfer then buy by bulk?

    • Hi Gibert,

We have a source list available for purchase. The source list includes various companies to purchase custom, and pre-made transfers from a list of transfer vendors as well as vendors to purchase blank shirts.

The price for custom transfers will be determined by the amount of colors you have in your design. If you are on a tight budget then I would recommend no more than 2 colors in the design. The more colors in the design the more it will cost to have the designs screen printed onto the release paper.

If you would, please click the link below to purchase the source list.
