Custom T-shirt Transfers

By  Cartess Ross

The most common question I get about making your own t-shirts is where to get that special ‘t-shirt transfer paper”?

I use to make them for my customers, but I no longer do that… It’s far cheaper for you to go directly to the source and get these transfers made, than for me to make them for you. With that said, I’ll provide you with a source I recommend in a moment.

But first, if you can’t draw and need someone to take the design ideas you have in your head and turn them into reality, then I can help. I have a team of graphic artists can take the ideas you have floating around in your head and turn them into actual designs that you can get printed. Simply send us a detailed outline of what you’re wanting and let our team of designers go to work.

Instead of paying $100/hour rates charged by top graphic artists, we charge a flat rate fee per design. This is a one-time fee per design and YOU own the rights to your artwork. Upon completion, we’ll send you the file and you’re free to do whatever you want with it.

My team of graphic artists charge $179 per design… Turnaround time on custom artwork design vary based on the complexity of your design.

… And For Those of You Who Need a Website! We can make you a beautiful site with your own dot-com name that’ll allow you to showcase your t-shirt designs to the world. Our standard website package cost $495.00, plus $19.95 per month for website hosting. In addition, we’ll show you where to get a merchant account so your website is able to process credit card orders 24-7.

Where to go for custom made transfers? In my book, I tell you where to get the BEST prices and BEST quality. But since I’m a nice guy, I’ll reveal one place that’ll make custom transfers for you: http://www.txpress.com (they’re expensive, but they’ll at least get you started!)

…Ready to Get Started? Got More Questions? Send us an e-mail outlining what you want to: tshirtriches@gmail.com

If you haven’t purchased my t-shirt book, get it here, the price will go up soon: https://www.tshirtriches.com (the order button is near the bottom of that page).

  • Hey, I need your expert advise on an easy way for me to ship out my customers packages. I’m about to start an online t-shirt business at home but I’m having difficulty figuring out how to do the shipping. I’m using the Post Office’s flat rate boxes to pack my tees. My question to you is what would be the fastest way for me to pay for the shipping rate and mail it off? The post office lines are usually long and I would hate to stand in line every time I have to mail a package and pay for the shipping. I don’t know what’s the easiest way for me to ship without the hassle of going to the post office and dropping off orders. I know I can schedule a pick up, but then how would I pay for the shipping at home and would I have to call the post office every time I have a package to ship???
Please help, any advise would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    • Great question David,

As you know, the post office does offer a home pickup service that is free… You simply have to request the pickup the day before (by 2 a.m. CST), and the mailman (or mail-lady) will pickup the packages from your home (typically during the time they usually drop off your mail). Here is a link to their request page for those of you not familiar with the service: https://carrierpickup.usps.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/CarrierPickup.woa (and yes, you’ll have to do this EACH time you need a pick-up).

The US Postal Service will allow you to print postage from your home. There are a lot of approved vendors that you can go through to print the postage. My favorite one is Endicia, and there website is: http://endicia.com

You must purchase a scale so you can weigh your packages… based on the weight and size of your packages, you’ll be able to enter these settings into the software Endicia provides you with and print off postages (whether it’s priority mail postages, first class, etc). You’ll be able to print these and put onto your packages and have your boxes outside available for pickup.

Also, with Endicia, anything shipped via priority mail gets FREE delivery confirmation.

      Hope this helps,

  • Hi Cartess.

Thank you very much for creating this website. It is extremely informative and I know you have inspired many people.

My question is hard to put in words, but I’ll give it my best shot: In your videos, the graphics that you transfer onto the shirts fill up a very small space. I was wondering if it was possible to transfer a graphic that filled up the entire t- shirt (or just about). I’m assuming the trick here is to get transfer sheets that are that size…..

    Thanks,
    Patrick

Hello Cartess, I am a 25 year old designer and have been doing freelance work for the past three years. Now I have done well for myself and want to get my artwork out tere on transfers or t-shirts so that i can sell the same designs for cheap prices over and over again. Can you please provide some advice as to how to go about this. Any advice is appreciated thanks.

  • ciao!,
the graphics that you transfer onto the shirts fill up a very small space. I was wondering if it was possible to transfer a graphic that filled up the entire t- shirt

For the most part, the transfer can fill up most of the t-shirt. You may have to use 2 separate transfers to fill up the entire shirt depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.

I am so glad to come across your website. Thanks for the info!! Does the heating press also works for rhinestone transfers?

    Warmest Regards,

    Absolutely… they work like a charm 🙂

  • Glad to hear the good news… Regarding the site, once we hand it over to you, you’ll have the ability to add additional tees and update pricing as you see fit. And you can post additional items you wish to sell as well — all at your leisure 🙂
