Laser Transfer Paper

By  Cartess Ross

I’ve teamed up with a manufacturer of laser transfer paper for both light and dark colored t-shirts. I’m able to offer these to you for about 5% less than what they charge.

We No Longer Sell Transfer Paper

Cartess Ross

I will guide you through this process and provide you with proven strategies to help you build a t-shirt company. As one of the original pioneers to start selling t-shirts online 20 years ago, I've sold millions of dollars in t shirts to people all over the world. I founded TshirtRiches in 2007 to teach others how to turn their t-shirt ideas into a business. So if you're ready, hop onboard and let's make this money!

  • Honestly… I haven’t printed enough tees using a home printer to answer your question with authority. However, most people who do this will tell you to test different inks and transfer paper to see which will yield the best results…

I would encourage you to purchase some paper and try it out… I definitely wouldn’t buy another printer without first trying.

  • Unfortunately, I haven’t used this method of printing to make my tees…. So I can’t really give you an ‘expert’ opinion.

However, it seems many people prefer the inkjet route because those machines are cheaper to get and the there’s a bunch of different types of transfer paper available for inkjet versus laser transfers.

It appears lots of people agree that ‘pigmented’ inks are best when using inkjet transfers.

I’ll be interviewing someone soon hopefully on this topic and they’ll be able to share much more information.

For the design I printed, it was a regular inkjet printer and it was the starter ink that came with the printer: Epson WF-7010

  • The 600s are for Laser printers and the 700s are for inkjet printers. I don’t know why there more expensive, but I’ll find out.

  • Hey Cart i have aquestion about a printer.I found a used Xerox phaser 7300,could that work for me?Cause i wanna work your laser papers. Thanks in advance.

    • It’s possible… Why don’t you try it out to see the results. Please let us know how it works out for you!

  • is it possible to use these with an iron instead of a heat press? thanks

    • Hi Karena,

Absolutely not! The transfers need to be heated at least 350 degrees.

  • where do i order the pre printed transfers?

    • Hi Jr,

Please click the link below to purchase the source list.
The source list includes various companies to purchase custom, and pre-made transfers from a list of transfer vendors.

The price for custom transfers will be determined by the amount of colors you have in your design. If you are on a tight budget then I would recommend no more than 2 colors in the design. The more colors in the design the more it will cost to have the designs screen printed onto the release paper.

If you would, please click the link below to purchase the source list.

  • Sascha Eichmann says:

    Hey Mr. Ross,
Could you maybe list up some new Printers which are able for these Transfers?
Because they are either hell of expensive or not available, that would be really kind.
    Sincerly,

    Saschy

    • Hi Sascha,

Any Epson printer will work, some printers are better than the others. It’s just a matter of you trying out different printers and doing your research.
We recommend a particular ink to print the designs from your own printer. A interview on this topic is currently in the works. If you haven’t signed up to receive our emails, please do. Once the videos become available you’ll be notified.
      Thanks

      • Sascha Eichmann says:

Thanks! And do you mean ANY Epson printer or any Epson LASER Printer? 🙂

        • Recently, we’ve sold a lot of transfer paper and people overwhelming prefer the inkjet. We’ve got a decent amount of returns on the laser paper and I’ll likely pull those off the website in the coming weeks…

  • Jorge Campos Larreynaga says:

Hello Mr.Ross, is there a specific ink I should buy? and if so where may I purchase it. Also would a Epson stylus nx230 work for a transfer paper? If so, what paper should I purchase? If you could answer these questions you would really be saving my world.

Thank you for unveiling the wealth to those how are looking for something to do. I can see the sincerity of the presentation.

I am leaving here in New Guinea, and very much interested in that business.

Thank you, and may God continuously bless you and your family

  • HI Cortess,
New here but I just watched ur video on the printer and trnsfer paper. Is this new info or something I missed? Very interested in getting started.

Thanks for everything….I think you Rock!!
    Dornetta

    • Hi Dornetta,
It’s something we recently started to recommend for those who can not afford to have designs screen printed YET. However, we highly recommend screen printed transfers! Printing from your printer will not provide the same high quality as screen printed transfers! If you’re able to afford screen printed transfers it’s just a way to get started until you can have designs screen printed. The transfers we have listed on our website are much better than the transfers sold in stores. Again, the transfers will not provide the same quality as screen printed transfers.
