How am I going to learn?

Your training is released to you in modules within our private, members only website.

Each module is filled with step-by-step training videos, done-for-you templates, resources and ‘take action checklists’. You’ll watch and learn from your computer, iPad, iPhone or mobile devices. Our goal is to make your online learning experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.

When do I get access to the Training?

rossI understand many of you will want access to all of your training modules at once, but that’s not how we roll. And here’s why…

I’ve been at this for a few years now and many people will come into this program and just consume so much content at once and take very little action. I’m not interested in just selling courses — it is my goal to actually help you become successful and help you realize your fullest potential.

The TshirtRiches curriculum was carefully crafted so you’d complete each module and complete the corresponding action plans. Each phase has been setup to maximize your results and long-term success.

Because we know how easy it is it get overwhelmed these days, the first two modules will be released in phases during the first 2 weeks. This will give us time to work with you to help you layout your core business foundation. Because the first 2-week implementation time is so intensive, we’ll unlock access to the remaining modules and training after this phase. After-which, you’ll have access to all of the modules and you’re free to access at your leisure.

After seeing many people go through our program, we’re proud to say this method has worked best. If you’re the type of person who must jump ahead and get to the good stuff because you know this stuff already, then this program may not be for you.

After the 2-week intensive, you’ll have lifetime access to the course and you can revisit any of the modules in any order you like, as often as you’d like.

FREE BONUSES WHEN YOU PAY IN FULL

  • I’ll ship you a free t-shirt sample pack which includes a t-shirt that was printed with a screen printed transfer. I’ll also include an actual screen printed transfer in the package so you can see what they look and feel like. If you already have a heat press machine, you can print this transfer onto a t-shirt yourself. I also encourage you to wash the sample t-shirt a few dozen times so you can see how well the shirts hold up yourself.
  • I’ll also include a bundle of 5 blank t-shirts and a dozen pack of screen printed transfers. That way if you decide to purchase a used heat press machine, you’ll have some sample t-shirts and transfers to take out with you to test out the machine to ensure you’re not buying a damaged heat press machine.
  • Line-Sheet Template – I’ll also ship you a copy of my line sheet so you can use as your template/guide. If you plan on getting your t-shirts in stores, you must have a line sheet. We’ve invested a lot of money over the years creating/testing line sheets and you can easily pay over $1,000.00 for a professionally made line-sheet that may or may not work out. But I’m giving you permission to use mine in any way you like to create your own.

  • thank u for all the info we are thinking of buying one do u have one for sale

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge which has inspired me to finally start my own business. I have been investing in everything for screen printing but the time and place to do the actual printing, I could never find. You are a wonderful human being and an exceptional business man! Keep up the good work! Where were you all my life? 🙂

  • Thank you for this video, quick question, can you buy a printer to use plastersol inks?

  • Thank you for this video, quick question, can you buy a printer to use plastersol inks?

  •   Hi,

I’m a bit confused about this process. If the transfers are printed as screen prints then will they not have the same, if not higher, setup costs as printing straight onto a T-shirt? So, if you have to outsource to get them printed onto transfers, why not outsource and get them printed straight onto the T-shirts?

      James

  • Great question… With transfers, you can print the tees on-demand. If you went and had the t-shirt screen printed beforehand, you’d have to buy a bunch of pre printed tees — like 20 small, 20 med, 20 large, 20 xlarge, 20 2xlarge, 20 3xlarge, 20 4 xlarge — then you’d have to do the same grey, yellow, etc… You’d have all that inventory sitting on a shelf waiting and hoping someone orders that size.

With transfers you only print onto a tee that was ordered. I got an order for 100 tees the other day from a church in Canada. She order 20 Youth Medium, 20 Youth Large, 20 Adult Medium, 20 Adult Large and 20 Adult X-Large. I already had the prints — all I had to do was order the shirts — which typically shows up at my house the following day if I get the order in prior to 5 p.m. I only print what I need. I don’t sell a lot of Youth Medium and Youth Large — makes no sense for me to have an inventory of these tees pre-printed. Could have sat on them for a year — and imagine if you have 20 designs – you’d have to get a huge inventory of tees pre-printed to ensure you have every size in stock. EXPENSIVE.

For whatever reason, depending on how many transfers you order, you can get HUGE price breaks — as low as .50 cent based on number of colors and quantity.

Let’s say a transfer sheet for one color costs $1.00 — depending on the size, I could get 2 designs onto a sheet. Making my costs .50 or get a larger sheet for $1.50 and get 4 designs onto a single sheet — my cost per design is even lower.

You won’t see these type of prices on screen printed tees.

  • I’m trying to start my business, I’ve been researching and came to the conclusion that thus is the best option for me to follow and do. My only question to you is about the designs and turnaround time for the transfers to be delivered to you. Basically should I have a base of three designs, get those printedand begin, or use different approach? Also since the transfers are plastisol inks do they hold heat?, can you get water-based inks on a transfer as well?

  • Glen Sutton says:

Hi, I found your video is very interesting and got my head spinning with questions and ideas. I have a heat press and a variety of vinyl. Do you think this method is superior and more professional than using vinyl for heat pressing tees? Why?

Also, I went to the site you recommended to order the plasticol transfer sheets but I could not find them listed anywhere on their site.

  • Elias05us says:

hi dude do you have work contact on?

  • hI Ramiah,

It generally takes these companies anywhere from 2-14 days to make these transfers. Some will get them back to you in as little as 24-48 hours, so make sure you search around, each company is different. If you can afford to start out with 3 designs as you suggest, I’d get started without delay. You can always add more as you grow.

I’m not familiar with the ‘water-based’ inks. I’ve only used the plastisol inks.

  • Hi Glen,

I’m not familiar with vinyl in that I have never used it. I’ve heard others talk about the quality they’ve experienced with it; but I can’t vouch for the process myself. Here is a link to a site that does transfers — I list many other sources in our training program, but here’s one: http://www.txpress.com (they’re very expensive, but have great stuff). Cheaper alternatives listed in our program:

  • Juaacklynn says:

Hi I was looking into buying a heat press and I found that some say “heat transfer heat presses” and some are “digital heat presses” some don’t say the degrees just up to 1800 watts. Are they all just standard heat presses or should I be looking for a particular one?

    • The results you’ll get will not be any different with either machine you go with. Digital is a luxury some prefer (the numbers that display are digital that display on the machine – the timer and heat temp — the other machines generally have just a timer that you set and the heat is measured by a thermometer that goes up/down and you read the numbers versus it being displayed ‘digitally’.

      Just a preference…

  • Please check out the course. In the course I have created, I include all my sources on where to purchase the transfers as little as $1.00.

    Thanks!

  • I apologize, I’m going to copy and paste this from a question I just answered. 🙂

We actually don’t print our own transfers! We deal directly with several companies that specialize in transfers, etc. Printing your own, isn’t cost effective, doesn’t provide the same quality nor does the color on the transfer last when printing them yourself. After your customer has washed the shirt a few times the color begins to fade! Most importantly, it’s too time consuming, which doesn’t free you up to focus on what “really matters” which is: growing your business!

In our course, we provide direct contact with our sources! Which you can purchase most transfers as little as $1.00.

Hi Mr. Ross I am looking to start a t-shirt business very soon. I was wondering if you can send me the sample pack to examine the quality of the custom screen print transfer..

  • Hi, I like your christian design plastisol prints. Do you sell the designs?

    • Hi Sheldon,

We do not. However, you may purchase these designs directly from various transfer vendors.
We have a source list available for purchase. The source list includes various companies to purchase custom, and pre-made transfers from a list of transfer vendors.

The price for custom transfers will be determined by the amount of colors you have in your design. If you are on a tight budget then I would recommend no more than 2 colors in the design. The more colors in the design the more it will cost to have the designs screen printed onto the release paper.

If you would, please click the link below to purchase the source list.

  • Rita Nealy says:

Cartess, I noticed that you fold your transfer in half before you apply them to your tee shirts, will you share why you do this? Thanks in advance.
    Rita Nealy

    • Old habits die hard. I fold it so I’ll easily know where the center is and I’ll just lay it down onto the t-shirt from there.

  • Ok, i have been using the iron on transfers with a heat press for over 12 months seeing getting them done by a DTG printer was not good for profit.
I will admit they are not the best but when u have designs that are based on sporting team colours, which means over 60 designs, iron ons are a better option. They may fade over time but i have one that has been washed at least 10 times and still looks ok, not as good as first printed of course but hasn’t cracked or peeled. I find that not many people are willing to spend more than $15 on an unofficial product. Screen printing costs in Australia are not cheap which makes this option less profitable for me.

    • The great thing you’ve done was take action. At least you’ve got started and you’re progressing forward and I commend you for that. Thanks for taking the time to post and share Scott, it’s appreciated.

  • Do u know of any suppliers in Australia? Plenty of screen printers but very few paper suppliers other than ebay.

    • Hi Scott,
The vendors we’ve included are located in the US, Uk, and Canada.

  • When launching the t-shirt business online ,whats the best way to pre-order sizes from the wholesalers? I dont want to make the mistake of ordering 100 medium size tees but the majority of the customers winds up ordering mostly Large sizes. Hope I explained the question properly..

    • Each niche is different. Selling t-shirts for nurses is going to be different than selling tees to surfers. The inventory requirement will be different because most nurses are women and they’re smaller in generally, compared to surfers who will consist of men and women.

I’d simply suggest keeping a small inventory until you’re able to calculate what you’ll need.

  • Hi Cartess:

I have seen you put the custom screen printed designs on to the tshirt only buy using a heat press. I would like to know if words are printed onto custom screen transfers using special inks if it will go onto the tshirt as in your videos or do I need a cutter. I have spoken to other people in the business and they are suggesting that but I dont see the difference as your tshirts designs have words. Please help!

  • James Camper says:

I noticed in todays video that there was someone wearing a shirt with the Intel logo and also a shirt with the Survivors logo. How much do you have to change the appearance to get away from copyright laws? Thanks.

    • The intel logo — we got served quite a few times from the Intel legal dept. They weren’t our designs — we purchased from someone else. They got the brunt of it. We haven’t been called on about the SURVIVOR design — although they are very much pushing the limits. I’m surprised they haven’t been ordered to stop making the transfers. You’d definitely need to change it around much more than they did.

  • Angel Brown says:

    Hi,
I’m wondering if there is anything that I’d need to consider when it comes to the quality of the t-shirts I’d buy for printing?, as some t-shirts that are out there are considerably thinner/thicker than others. Will the ink adhere to different materials better than others?

    • hi Angel, it’s my advice that you order some samples and test each for yourself. What I like, you may not like. And what you like, I may not like. But, what’s important here is what you like. Yes, some shirts are thinner, others are thicker and people like them for different reasons. This is going to be your brand and it’s important that you decide how you’d like to represent your brand. Neither type of shirt is right or wrong. You just have to decide what is right for your brand. And the best way to do that is to order a variety of styles and types of tees and see which work best for you. Hope this helps you and feel free to follow up with more questions if I confused you 🙂

  • I purchased your sample pack and list of transfer venders, but as I was looking at some of them the pricing is extremely high. What is a reasonable price for a transfer with 4 colors? And if you could tell me which company you actually use.

    • If you’re only ordering like 12 sheets, it’s going to cost you. You’ll need to order a decent volume if you want to get great pricing. Another way to bring costs down is to use less colors. Another way is to order larger sheets and get multiple designs onto a sheet — thus making your costs cheaper.

  • charlton jackson says:

I appreciate all the information you email me. The more videos I watched from you, the closer and the closer my T-shirt business will be up and going. Thanks and hope to meet you in person one day. Peace!

  • I think you should clarify between store bought heat transfers and commercial grade heat transfers like those manufactured by Neenah (JPSS) and the like that can be adhered with a heat press. These heat transfers are great quality and do hold up in the washer long term. I use them exclusively
and have never had a problem. Nor has any customer ever complained about the quality of the
    graphics. Just my 2 cents.
